The greenery

Light is too dim and room need to be refurbished as the furniture are too old

We lived on the second floor in two floor bungalow. Bed was super comfy, linen and pillows as well, but that is actually it. Staff was welcoming as well.

This place, overall really needs renovation. Our room smelled like mold. It was probably very nice place when they built it on 2014. When we booked this property, there were said - Superior Cottage, and booking mentions "entire place", and with entire place photo was added little, pretty tiny house. We lived in two floor cottage, and in the first floor lived other people. No common facilities of course, but it was not entire place what we wanted. We asked staff why so, they said that place they gave us is totally the same as this Superior Cottage, in reality it is the same. They showed us, and yes it looked identical, but the smell was also there. We stayed in room they gave as at the beginning. In the morning we took small walk around territory and understood that here is no other tourists in these Deluxe Cottage and Cottage Suite. Territory was full of dried leaves, pond was overgrown and many broken stuff around. It looked sad and abandoned. Probably because of off season. The scariest thing in our room was electricity lightning. There was 2-3 time at night when due to functioning conditioner and rain, we saw electric lightning splash in our room. We thought that it was because of rain. There were also many ants in toilet. What was funny, there were no clothing hangers in wardrobe. If You would like to use them, you need to rent them. Breakfast was very bad. Tried one morning, and next did not go there. Photos are really nice, full of light, but it was not so overwhelming there.

They were quick to help us when needed

In one of the rooms rained inside, but they changed the room immediately when reported. The windows weren’t very sealed They forgot to put water in our rooms when they made the rooms, but they brought them when asked The place was not well kept overall, might need some restoring done because the spaces and the location overall has so much potential

Hotel rooms are pretty and quiet.Staff are very nice and friendly.

Phowodol seems to be an older resort, but well maintained and looked after. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a bungalow room, but a little disappointed to find that the 'double bed' was actually 2 singles pulled together... Buffet breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices...a little busy, as there were some tour parties staying overnight, but enjoyable nonetheless!

The room was huge with a romantic vibe. All the deco was nice and the room had a lot of natural light. A very peaceful place. The pool was nice as well.

The food from the restaurant is not the best. It was pricey and the western food the worst... Please never order the pizza.

Hotel's environment, nice

Rooms arrangements were not properly done and we mixed up rooms. Breakfast is not good, not much choice for both adults and kids.

Noisy, kind of public, old hotel, bad insulated rooms, room with wrong lights, bathroom in bad state, porn decoration, untrustworthy staff, no service, the baddest restaurant of Thailand, no breakfast, an horror.

Room large. Deep bath. Pool very big and little used. Location is outside town but we chose it for that reason as we had a car. Road access to city, airport, north and west was very good.

This property is tired looking. It needs someone with an eye for detail to give it a makeover. It could be improved greatly at little expense, but they are doing good business with tour groups and business functions so probably aren't bothered. Also, these customers probably don't complain. eg. Get rid of broken furniture and fittings around pool area. Refurbish the outdoor furniture at the restaurant. Repair pot holes in parking area and driveway. Weeding of some garden areas. Plastic flowers in the rooms...why? Breakfast was poor for such a large resort. Not able to offer a decent map of Chiang Rai. Just a photocopy on such a small scale that it was unusable. Have they never been asked for one before? Etc. etc.

Very nice resort. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. The room is good as it looks in the pictures and the bed was comfortable. Very nice breakfast.

Swimming pool water was not as clean as expected. Curtains in the room were broken (holes and lengthy cuts) it just didnt look nice but it was ok. The shower didnt drain water properly so the floor got flooded. It is far from the city so we needed a ride (taxi or motorbike)

Surrounding is quite nice and pleasant.

Room is too dark as if they want to save on lighting!

It is comfortable and it has beautiful gardens.

It is far from the city center.

Cottages made in wood

Breakfast was very limited and nothing special or fresh.

Loved being there.
